Your Trusted Partners For
Retirement & Income Planning
Retirement & Income Planning
Retirement planning is about more than just building an investment portfolio—it’s about creating a strategy that supports your entire financial future.
We bring together key areas such as portfolio management, estate planning, income and tax strategy, risk management, Medicare, and long-term care. By coordinating these elements into a unified plan, we help clients protect their assets and pursue the retirement lifestyle they’ve always envisioned.
Integrated Retirement Income Solutions
The cornerstone of a successful retirement is a well-structured income plan. Key questions must be answered: How much income will you need? Where will it come from? And how much of it will go back to the government in taxes?
At Integrity Wealth Management, we specialize in comprehensive income planning that brings together Social Security strategies, self-funded pension plans, investment income, and tax-efficient distribution methods. By aligning these elements, we help maximize the potential of your retirement income—so you can enjoy the lifestyle you’ve worked hard to achieve.
Social Security: Optimize Your Retirement Income
Social Security is a critical part of many retirement plans—yet only 18% of married couples select the strategy that maximizes their benefits. With over 500 possible claiming options for married couples, choosing the right one can be overwhelming.
We analyze your Social Security data and guide you through the options, empowering you to make informed decisions that help maximize this important, government-funded income source.
IRA Conversion & Legacy Planning: Managing Taxes for Your Retirement and Heirs
Rising taxes during retirement are a significant concern for many approaching or already in retirement. Incorporating IRA conversion strategies into your retirement income plan can be a powerful way to manage your tax burden. By converting IRAs during years with lower tax rates and reallocating those funds into tax-free growth vehicles, you may create a tax-free income stream that reduces your overall tax liability later in retirement—while potentially increasing your income.
Recent changes under the SECURE Act have made passing IRAs to beneficiaries more challenging. The lifetime “stretch” IRA is no longer available, requiring all inherited IRA taxes to be paid within 10 years. However, there are strategies we can implement to help mitigate the tax impact on your loved ones and preserve more of your legacy.
Long Term Care Planning
As baby boomers progress through their 70s, a significant concern shifts from outliving income to outliving good health.
In California, the average monthly cost for a private room in a nursing home is over $13,000 while a semi-private room averages $11,000 plus. These figures are notably higher than the national averages, reflecting the state’s elevated cost of living and healthcare services.
Given that neither health insurance nor Medicare typically covers long-term care, and Medicaid requires significant asset reduction to qualify, it’s crucial to plan ahead for these potential costs.
We can help assess these risks and develop strategies to help offset costs and protect your income and assets.
Insurance Integration: Protecting Your Retirement and Your Loved Ones
What happens if one spouse passes away earlier than expected? Social Security benefits for the surviving spouse may decrease, but monthly expenses and bills don’t go away. Integrating life insurance into your retirement plan can provide crucial financial support, offering peace of mind and an added layer of protection for your family.
Additionally, IRAs often represent the largest asset in retirement portfolios and are passed down to beneficiaries. If you don’t expect to use all your IRA funds during your lifetime, it’s important to consider legacy planning strategies that can reduce tax burdens and potentially increase the amount your loved ones receive.
